Vodafone announces LG exclusive

LGVodafone has announced it will be the first network to bring one of the latest Microsoft-based handsets to the UK.

The firm said this week the new LG GM750 is a next generation smartphone that makes the most of the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system and will be exclusive to the network for the first three months it is on sale.

Launched on October 6th, buyers can expect LG's S-Class user interface (UI), high-speed internet facilities, a three-inch full touchscreen, GPS navigation, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and a five-megapixel camera.

Patrick Chomet, group global director of terminals for Vodafone, explained the GM750 was also a stylish device that would appeal to a number of users, both casual and professional.

LG Mobile's senior vice-president in Europe Harrison Lee added: "The combination of Vodafone's services, Windows Mobile 6.5 platform and our S-Class UI … makes the GM750 the mobile package consumers with busy lives have been waiting for."

The latest entry in the South Korean manufacturer's Chocolate range was also unveiled this week.
