Samsung unveils four new Omnia models

SamsungSamsung has unveiled the specifications for four new handsets it is adding to the Omnia range.

The manufacturer announced this week that the devices will be rolled out from October across the UK and each offers something for everyone in terms of features.

It was advised the Omnia II has a clear multimedia focus with a 3.7-inch AMOLED screen capable of "crystal clear" images, a five-megapixel camera, DivX support and software for recording and editing video.

The Omnia LITE option, on the other hand, was highlighted for its web messaging facilities - such as multi-push email, 3G HSDPA and Wi-Fi support - and other options including A-GPS, Bluetooth 2.0 and up to 32 GB of memory.

Finally, the Omnia PRO B7610 and B7330 were noted as ideal for balancing home and professional lives as each is equipped with Windows Mobile 6.5 - although the former offers the Professional version, while the other uses Standard.

It was also announced that the new Samsung Galaxy i7500 would be launched by O2 in the UK.
