Reviewer tests "no frills" Nokia business phone

NokiaThe Nokia E52 is a device that could be of interest to professionals looking for a reliable business-focused mobile, it has been advised.

In an article for Mobile Burn this week, Russell Jeffries turned his attention to the Finnish manufacturer's new model and noted that the simplicity and practicality of the gadget could interest some buyers.

Attention was given to a numeric keypad that - although missing the full qwerty option of the E71 - was praised as "very easy to type with", while surfing the mobile internet using Wi-Fi and 3G was also said to be a pleasant experience.

This was partially due to the inclusion of an internal processing unit that operates at 600 MHz and "makes the trusty S60 browser feel more alive and less clunky than before and makes browsing more enjoyable".

Mr Jeffries concluded by saying the lack of an autofocus facility and a "potentially frustrating" email wizard were just a couple of problems, but overall the Nokia E52 "is definitely worth a look".

Nokia recently topped a sustainability survey published by Dow Jones.

Is the lack of a qwerty keypad on the E52 a dealbreaker?
