Posted: 17 September 2009
The BlackBerry Curve 8520 has been described as a device that is both powerful and appealing to all types of user.
According to a spokesperson for the Norwegian Trigcom network, the decision to launch the device in that country was based on its abilities as well as the likelihood it would prove popular.
Jan Hatlebrekke, purchasing manager for the carrier, said: "It is a powerful and user-friendly smartphone that will appeal to a wide range of both retail and business customers."
Commenting on the release of the handset in this particular market, the manufacturer of the gadget Research In Motion added the BlackBerry Curve 8520 was designed "for people who like to be connected".
The mobile has easy access to email, messaging and social networking facilities and also boasts a full qwerty keyboard, optical trackpad and a 512 Mhz processor that makes it more responsive than BlackBerrys of the past.
It is already available across the UK on networks including T Mobile, Orange and O2.
