Apple iPhone users get new motoring app

Apple iPhone 3G S users who feel a little bit intimidated by car salesmen and garages may welcome the launch of a new software system.
Soon to also be released for Nokia and BlackBerry smartphones, the Honest John App takes its name from an online facility that has provided motoring tips for over 500,000 people.
The widget, which can be downloaded free for the Apple iPhone 3G S, combines road tests and video clips with access to an interactive forum where people can get all kinds of auto advice.
It was noted by the former motor trader behind the site that often consumers can feel "out of their depth" on forecourts and repair bays - and the application sought to address this issue.
He explained: "It's like taking me with you to the showroom," adding users can search for data via the service by looking up the relevant make and model.
O2 is the exlusive network for the iPhone in the UK, although it is available on both contract and pay-as-you-go tariffs.
Will you download the app?
