Mobile shoppers now have an extra smartphone to choose from as one of the most anticipated devices of the year hits O2 today (October 16th).
The Palm Pre has already been a hit with a number of reviewers and arrives as a network exclusive that the carrier explained has a number of features that will tempt the public.
O2 noted there is a selection of attractive tariffs available and with a full slide-out qwerty keyboard adding to Wi-Fi connectivity and GPS navigation, there is equipment on board that should satisfy the most tech-savvy gadget hunters.
In addition, attention was drawn to the wide range of downloadable applications available online that are designed to perform alongside the device's specially created WebOS software.
The Palm Pre was announced by O2 in July and chief executive officer of its parent company Telefonica Europe, said: "Our customers will be the first outside of North America to experience one of the most successful mobile devices of the year."
RantRave said earlier this year that the Pre was "definitely a device that will put Palm back as a key player in the smartphone arena for a long time to come".
Have you been one of the Pre shoppers today?
