T Mobile Pulse 'has it all'

T MobileA new review has suggested that T Mobile may have put out a device that combines affordability with "all the essentials of a modern smartphone".

Built by Chinese manufacturer Huawei, the network-branded Pulse is to be available across the UK with a pay-as-you-go price tag of around £180 - making it one of the cheapest Google Android-powered options on the market.

In a piece for Trusted Reviews this week, Edward Chester points out that despite lacking the "glamour" of some of its rivals, this may put the device up against handsets like the Apple iPhone 3G for those on a budget.

He explained that, in addition, the Pulse does not leave out things like 3G HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity and this was something of a shock when unboxing the model.

"For T Mobile to make a smartphone so cheap it seemed impossible for it not to have cut some essential corners. However, nothing could have been further from the truth," Mr Chester commented.

The pulse also boasts a 3.5-inch screen - which the review noted is better than the one featured on the iPhone - as well as microSD support for up to 16 GB and a 3.2-megapixel camera.

Samsung's Galaxy i7500 and the Motorola DEXT were two of the latest Android devices to be announced.

Which of the three Google phones interests you the most?
