Spotify Mobile 'a high quality application'
Posted: 23 October 2009
A new application has been put to the test that is available for devices like the HTC Hero and T mobile Pulse.
In a piece for Android Guys this week, Drew Smith looked at the various aspects of Spotify Mobile - a handset edition of the popular audio streaming client that has been popular with computer users.
He explained that the portable version of the application, which is also available for the Apple iPhone 3G, can be downloaded for free - but users then face a £9.99 monthly subscription.
However, for those who sign up, Mr Smith said they will have a wide selection of tunes available to them at any time, via a system that is easy to navigate.
"All in all, I believe Spotify Mobile for Android is a high-quality, polished app together with a useful, near-indispensable service - it just depends whether you think it's worth the subscription fee," the expert concluded.
A new deal was announced with 3 mobile this week that sees the HTC Hero available on the network with access to Spotify Premium included in the cost of the monthly tariff.
