Nokia 5530 'the more affordable 5800'

The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic may be an affordable alternative to other more expensive touchscreen models, it has been asserted.
Frank Lewis explained in a review for Cnet this week that the manufacturer has tempted consumers in the past with models like the 5800, but some may have been put off by the cost of the handset.
He added that although services like GPS and 3G connectivity are missing from the 5530, it is currently one of the most affordable full-touchscreen mobiles on the market.
"The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is far from a perfect handset
But, given the phone's low price
we think the handset offers a good user experience for the money," Mr Lewis explained.
Priced at £190 sim-free, £140 on pay-as-you-go packages and £15 per month on some contracts, he concluded by saying it may even tempt some considering an Apple iPhone 3G - but these buyers should not expect it to be as "polished".
However, the price of the latter device may soon drop - as Orange and Vodafone recently announced they would also be offering it to their customers.
Is the 5530 worth a look?
