Motorola DEXT vs Android HTC models

HTC MagicA recent article has pitted one of the latest Google Android-powered mobile phones against some of its established peers.

In a piece for Mobile Burn, Michael Oryl looked at the Motorola CLIQ, which is to be known across the UK as the DEXT when it is released in stores.

He explained there were many things to like about the device, but added that previous handsets that use the same Google operating system may currently have the edge of their new rival.

With models like the Magic, Hero and T Mobile G1, Mr Oryl noted "HTC is doing a better job".

However, he concluded: "With the head of steam that Motorola is building around Android - that may not be the case for long" admitting the firm could be on to a winner by combining the system with its new MOTOBLUR user interface (UI).

The aforementioned UI brings together a number of social networking applications and messaging facilities, centralising them in one menu.
