Mobile broadband and phone report 'reflects global connectivity'

A new report has proved how important the latest phones and mobile broadband technology are to the general public, it has been asserted.
Following the publication of a study by Virgin Media that looked at increased anxiety in the absence of web-connected gadgets, a spokeswoman for Stuff Magazine has commented on the issue.
Zara Rabinowicz, a technology expert at the electronics news and reviews resource, said it was clear that the research reflected a more globally-focused world.
She explained that in the past, people have been used to living close to their loved ones, but the internet now plays a big role in people's wider networks of friends and family.
"Products like mobiles and laptops [have] become lifelines to the outside world - whether it's a chat to your mum or an update on a Facebook page," Ms Rabinowicz concluded.
The study revealed two-thirds of people in Britain like constant access to the web, with 35 per cent admitting feelings of anxiety when this is taken away.
