One of the latest fashion-focused handsets to be launched by Sony Ericsson has been put to the test.
Jonaton Parkyn explained in a recent piece for Cnet that the manufacturer has put out a device that is likely to split people down the middle in the form of the Jalou.
The Jewel-shaped clamshell handset comes in three standard colours -black, purple and blue - while another option is the special edition rose and gold version put together in collaboration with Italian design house Dolce & Gabbana.
However, Mr Parkyn said the aesthetics of the device are only part of the story and, although aimed clearly at females, there are some who will find it ideal.
"From a purely practical point of view, the Jalou is an extremely convenient way of combining your phone, camera, music player and of course, your compact mirror in a single, tiny device," he concluded.
The Sony Ericsson gadget was unveiled in August and is equipped with 3G connectivity, Bluetooth support, an integrated media player, FM radio up to 4 GB of storage and a 3.2-megapixel camera snapper.
How does it look to you?
