Android-powered Pulse arrives on T Mobile

T MobileT Mobile has unveiled details of a new handset that it hopes will bring Google Android to the masses.

It was noted the Pulse will be available as part of the network's pay-as-you go catalogue - making it the first to be featured on these tariffs in Britain.

Nicola Shenton, acting head of handset and device marketing at the firm in the UK, explained that the model had generated a great deal of interest since it was first showcased a month ago.

"As it's the only Android phone that can be bought without a monthly contract, we think it will be the must-have mobile Christmas gift this year," she added.

The T Mobile Pulse is equipped with a trackball navigation, a 3.2-megapixel camera with auto focus, HSDPA, HSUPA, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support, as well as a 300-hour battery life on standby that equates to 210 minutes of talk time.

Contract seekers will be able to pick up the gadget for £30 per month, where they can expect 1,000 free minutes, as well as unlimited texts and internet use.

The T Mobile G1 is another Android option for consumers on the network.
