Text-focussed LG comes to 3 Mobile

3 Mobile has announced details of a new device that it believes consumers with SMS messaging in mind might appreciate.

The carrier explained the latest addition to its line up of handsets would be the LG GW520, a model that is so well equipped for email, text and IM that it could satisfy those with a "messaging addiction".

LG has fitted the GW520 with a 2.8-inch resistive touch screen and the model is also fitted with 3G web technology that allows it to benefit from the HSDPA network.

However, 3 Mobile was keen to point out one of the more functional options of the device and how this can be used with its existing offerings.

"The slide out qwerty keyboard allows you to make the most of the unlimited Windows Live messenger and Skype available on 3. Not to mention Push email, allowing you to receive emails as they come through," it explained.

Other devices that have recently been launched on the 3 Mobile network include the HTC Hero and the INQ Mini 3G.
