O2 adds internet radio to Joggler

Mobile phone network O2 has announced the addition of internet radio functionality to its Joggler home media device.

Sally Cowdry, marketing director at the network services provider, says: "We have focused on what customers have told us they want."

As a result, internet radio has been added to a line-up of features that includes a photo viewer, news capabilities, music and video playback and an in-built calendar.

More than 100 internet radio stations can now be streamed directly to the Joggler thanks to collaboration between the mobile phone network and radio-maker PURE.

The radio firm also offers internet radio through conventional online means, with more than 12,000 channels for its users to choose from.

With the Joggler, as well as having a compact media centre for the family home, users can also send and receive text messages.

Stresmed news, sport and weather can also be delivered directly to the touchscreen device, keeping its display relevant and up to date.
