Sony Ericsson W995 'a musical masterclass'

Sony Ericsson has continued to do what it does best in its latest music-focused mobile phone, it has been suggested.

According to Flora Graham in a recent review for the W995 Walkman device, the manufacturer has given other companies "a masterclass" in what an audio -based gadget should be.

She says that despite the firm having a number of other multimedia handsets on the horizon - including the Sony Ericsson Satio - the firm has continued to take its technology and improve it.

"This is a music phone that takes everything great about the Walkman range and makes it even better, thanks to the standard 3.5 mm headphone jack," Ms Graham states, adding the 8.1-megapixel camera is another welcome addition.

In addition, she praises the headphones that come with the device, concluding that overall "the W995 delivers sound quality on a par with a dedicated mp3 player".

The Sony Ericsson Satio was announced last month and boasts a 12.1-megapixel camera and integrated media player.
