HTC handset praised for messaging features

A new review has looked at one of the latest handsets to emerge from HTC.

In an article for Mobile Burn this week, Michael Oryl considers the manufacturer's new HTC Snap handset and notes that with a full qwerty keyboard the device may have some specific competitors in mind.

In addition to taking on smarphones from Samsung and BlackBerry, he explains the handset may be an option for those looking for a messaging-focused mobile that is small and easy to carry.

The 2.4-inch, 320 x 240 pixel display is praised as "crisp and bright" - and the call quality is also noted as a highlight when the device is within peak signal range.

Mr Oryl concludes: "The phone has a nice keyboard and a good looking, modern design. It has top-notch messaging features, including HTC's neat Inner Circle system. It even has passable photo and music abilities."

Orange announced this week that it would be adding the HTC Hero to its range early next month.
