Sky TV offer announced by 3 Mobile

The 3 Mobile network has announced it will offer exclusive television access to customers who sign up to one of its latest flagship phones.

It was announced this week the carrier has entered into a deal with Sky Mobile TV that will allow Sony Ericsson W995 users the ability to watch content on its channels.

Normally costing £5 per month on a subscription basis, 3 Mobile is offering buyers of the new Walkman multi-media gadget the initial three months of the service for free.

"Sports fans can watch ball-by-ball coverage of major sports events live, as well as all forthcoming coverage on Sky Sports 1, 2, 3 and Xtra - and Sky Sports News," it explained.

Earlier this week, the Sony Ericsson W995 was praised in a review for T3 by Rhiain Morgan, who said it was "a bona-fide Walkman phone with a whole load of extra junk in the trunk".

He added that in lieu of the manufacturer's upcoming Satio model, the device was likely to act as a decent substitute.
