Mobile broadband help service launched by O2
Posted: 3 July 2009
O2 customers now have more options available to them should they run into trouble with their mobile broadband.
The network announced the launch of a new service today that will provide advice and support for the company's line of dongles as well as its various internet packages.
O2 Tech Support is a telephone-based provision that allows laptop users access to expert technical services that it hopes will give peace of mind for all aspects of issues relating to advanced web connection.
It explained this could cover dealing with viruses, software problems, home entertainment and CCTV systems.
Jonathan Earle, head of pay monthly at O2, said: "We have listened to what our customers have asked for and believe that O2 Tech Support will differentiate us in this market."
However, he added all other mobile broadband customers would still be able to get the same level of basic advice.
Other portable web solutions providers include T Mobile, 3 and Orange.
