Posted: 13 August 2009
A new handset has been announced by Sony Ericsson that is claimed by the manufacturer to offer "chic communication".
The Jalou has a host of modern features and would appear to be aimed at style-conscious users as it is equipped with a Mirror Key to "check your hair before a hot date".
Among the other facilities are a 3.2-megapixel camera that provides video recording, as well as a stereo FM radio, media player, Bluetooth connectivity, step counter and access to a number of Google applications, including maps.
The Sony Ericsson Jalou is available in three different colours - Deep Amethyst, Aquamarine Blue and Onyx Black - and joins other upcoming models like the Satio and T715.
Charles Hunt, head designer of the new phone, said his team "wanted the handset to reflect beauty found in nature. They looked at structure, strength and form in various crystalline jewels, which resulted in the unique shape."
Does this sound like your kind of mobile?
