O2 facility celebrates 10th year

One O2 facility in the north-west is celebrating its birthday this week and is doing so in style, it has been claimed.

The network has had a presence in Bury for a decade and has taken the opportunity to ask its staff about how they feel regarding their employer and the sector in which it operates.

A special lunch was held on Tuesday (August 18th) that thanked the people who have been at the site since it opened its doors ten years ago, one of which is personal assistant Amanda O'Hare.

Having started out as a receptionist, she explained that at first the work had been tough but she now sees O2 as a great firm which holds customer focus as a key driver for its business.

"The most important thing for me is having the opportunity to work with so many kind hearted people who still make it a pleasure to walk through those doors each day," she added.

O2 announced this month it would be adding the Telmap personal navigation and mapping service to the majority of GPS-enabled mobile phones.
