New iPhone game 'tougher than it looks'

A new puzzle game available for the Apple iPhone 3G S is not as simple as it first looks, it has been advised.

In a review for Pocket Gamer, Tracy Erickson looked at Huebris and noted that taking control of the individual coloured blocks it displays on screen seems simple enough, but soon develops into a chess-like battle of skill.

Each of the coloured bricks behaves in its own individual manner and players will find they can only slide them around according to this. For example, yellows only move two spaces at a time and greens can only be put on similarly shaded areas.

This means in order to get the pieces to the board locations where they are supposed to be and solve the puzzle, it is necessary to manipulate their restrictions to your advantage.

"Strategy plays a role, forcing you to think ahead and abandon seemingly straightforward solutions that result in dead ends in favour of more convoluted tactics that get the job done. It's brilliant," the reviewer concluded.

Other games now available for the Apple iPhone 3G include cake Mania 3: Celebrity Chef and Rollercoaster Builder.
