New BlackBerry 'does everything well'
Posted: 14 August 2009
Although not perhaps a model to outdo its siblings, the BlackBerry Curve 8520 has been described as a handset capable of doing everything well.
Michael Oryl said in an article for Mobile Burn this week that the third generation, full-qwerty keyboard-enabled smartphone is a slightly lower-end device in comparison to other models.
However, he added its manufacturer Research In Motion had put together another entry in its range that feels great to hold, offers great build quality and provides all the messaging features users have come to expect.
The inclusion of an optical trackpad, which replaces the trackballs that most recent BlackBerry mobile phones have been equipped with, is another interesting addition that "works quite well in general".
Mr Oryl concluded by saying the 8520 is "an excellent smartphone and a pretty darn good deal, as well."
The handset was added to the Vodafone range this week and is available free on certain tariffs.
Looking forward to getting hold of this 'Berry?
