Two new handsets have been announced that aim to take full advantage of one of the most popular social networking facilities on the web.
INQ Mobile unveiled its latest devices this week that provide fast access to online micro blogging site Twitter, as well as synchronisation with Apple's iTunes music software.
The first of these "social mobiles" is the INQ Chat 3G - which is equipped with a full qwerty keyboard to make messaging easier - while its sibling model, the INQ Mini 3G, is designed for the "price-sensitive prepay market".
Both offer support not only for Twitter, but also Facebook, Skype, email and instant messaging, as well as plug and play HSDPA connectivity.
Frank Meehan, chief executive of INQ, said: "We build phones that focus specifically on what people want to do most on mobile and deliver it at a price point that's easy for consumers and profitable for operators."
The devices follow the INQ1, which is a social networking-focused handset available on the 3 Mobile network.
