HTC Touch Pro2 'offers large laptop functionality'

For those who want a large, solid mobile phone that has many of the features of a laptop, an expert has recommended one device in particular.

In an article for Cnet this week, Frank Lewis looked at the latest HTC handset to make it to the Orange network - the Touch Pro2 - and explained it is a versatile model that "aims to be all things to all people".

Available free on the network's latest £35 monthly tariff, he added that although the gadget is large and heavy, this gives it the ability to provide a big touchscreen with a more spacious keyboard than many of its rivals.

Mr Clark went on to praise the 480 x 800 pixel screen of the Touch Pro2 as "a beauty to behold" that offers high resolution text and graphics that are "incredibly crisp and sharp".

Also onboard the phone is a 528 Mhz Qualcomm processor, 288 MB of RAM memory, 512 MB of storage, microSD support and connectivity to HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 and GPS.
