Virgin Mobile teams up with girl band to launch PAYG tariff

Virgin Mobile has teamed up with pop group The Saturdays to launch a new pay as you go (PAYG) tariff.

Addict gives users mobile internet access as well as unlimited texts if they top up their phone with at least £20 per month.

Calls to any UK mobile network or landline are a flat rate of 20p.

If £15 of credit is bought in a month then the consumer gets 600 free texts, while £10 provides 300 texts. With these amounts, however, mobile internet will cost 30p per day on top.

A fair usage policy is in place, so there are caps on how much you get.

To help promote the new PAYG plan, The Saturdays have recreated the classic Robert Palmer hit Addicted to Love, complete with white guitars and red lips.

The band's latest single is also a nod to the 1980s as it is a cover of legendary Depeche Mode tune Just Can't Get Enough.

What do you think of the Addict tariff?
