Nokia launches 'Carbon Arte antidote'

NokiaA new device from Nokia is the direct opposite to one of its other recent models, according to Trusted Reviews.

This week, the site looked at the Finnish manufacturer's 7100 Supernova model and concluded that after the 8800 Carbon Arte, Nokia was clearly offering something for a different crowd.

It said the entry-level device was probably not one for those looking for a high-specification cameraphone and was something of an antidote to the "ultra-expensive 8800".

"While the 8800 Carbon Arte is designed for those with plenty of money to flash about […] the 7100 Supernova is more suited to a younger audience that is also not all that bothered about swanky features," the article explains.

One thing the two have in common is they both run on the Symbian S40 operating system, but when it comes to camera performance there are some notable differences.

Nokia's N86 may be a more suitable purchase for those looking for a more photography-focused device as it has an eight-megapixel snapper onboard.

Is the Carbon Arte really "ultra expensive"?
