LG launches 'slim' Viewty Smart

The LG Viewty Smart has been launched and described as the slimmest of its kind on the market.

Equipped with eight megapixels of picture power, the handset has Intelligent Shot Mode, which marks the first time this feature has been incorporated in a mobile phone.

According to LG, which has sold seven million units of the gadget's predecessor, the Viewty Smart has "significantly upgraded" software and hardware to make capturing images and getting in touch with people even easier.

Dr Skott Ahn is president and chief executive officer of LG Electronics Mobile Communications company and said while other camera phones merely concentrate on the number of megapixels, the Viewty Smart "changes everything".

"It is the most advanced eight-megapixel camera phone on the market not only because of it high quality specs, but because of the unparalleled user experience it delivers," he remarked.

Other features on the handset include a three-inch touchscreen, improved video capabilities and increased light sensitivity.

Trusted Reviews discussed the launch of the model today (May 15th) and said Viewty owners may be pleased to see a new version of the mobile.
