TV and movie downloads available on Samsung

A new service has been launched by Samsung that provides access to TV and movie downloads.

The South Korean manufacturer announced this week that through a new partnership with content delivery specialists at Acetrax, its users could now access a catalogue of premium video content.

Samsung Movies is a dedicated store where handset users can access a number of films including The Dark Knight and Rocknrolla, as well as popular TV shows like Friends and Gossip Girl.

"We're very excited to be able to provide existing and future customers access to their favourite movies and TV shows," commented Nick Turner-Samuels, head of content at Samsung Mobile UK.

The company recently announced the launch of a revised version of the Tocco named the Ultra Edition, which it has now confirmed will be compatible with the new platform.
