New Sony Ericsson 'ideal for the ladies'

Sony Ericsson has teamed up with O2 to bring a new handset to the market which targets female users.

The revised version of the T700 model, which has been named the Rouge, comes in an exclusive red and gold finish and according to O2 could be an ideal gift for Mother's Day.

It states this is partly due to the design of the mobile phone, but also because buyers can also expect £35 worth of Benefit cosmetics as part of the pay-as-you-go package.

This includes the makeup company's Full Finish lipstick and Thrrrob Turned On face powder. Consumers who buy before the end of May will also be put into a draw to win either a Sony Ericsson Bluetooth watch or more Benefit products.

O2's marketing director Peter Rampling said: "I am delighted we have been able to team up with Benefit and Sony Ericsson to offer this eye catching phone exclusively into our range."

The phone comes with a 512 MB memory card, FM radio, stereo speakers, music player and integrated 3.2-megapixel camera.
