LG brings multimedia to the Arena
Posted: 16 March 2009
A new phone from LG combines a range of multimedia features with a new and "unique" user interface", it has been claimed.
The South Korean manufacturer has put DVD-quality playback, a five-megapixel camera, as well as HSDPA 7.2 and Wi-Fi connectivity into the LG Arena - a handset that is designed to be simple to use.
Also known as the KM900, this flagship mobile phone features LG's new S-Class UI that makes accessing all of the above a much more "exhilarating" experience, it was advised.
"Fast yet smooth 3D transitions between menus are made possible with the help of a powerful AMD processor," the company claimed.
Dr Skott Ahn, president and chief executive of the firm, added that since its unveiling at the 2009 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this year, there has been a great deal of anticipation for the phone and its software.
Other handsets in the LG range include the Cookie.
Are 3D interfaces the way forward for smartphones?
