Nokia 5220 'great for music-lovers'

A new handset from Nokia offers a low-cost solution for music fans that is suited to this time of economical uncertainty, it has been advised.

In a piece for Trusted Reviews, Sandra Vogel writes the Finnish manufacturer is offering a new pay-as-you-go device for around £109 that is equipped with enough audio features to impress most mid-range device shoppers.

She explains that although the Nokia 5220 is missing some of the features that a flagship model like the 5800 may offer, there are some things that make it appealing.

"If you are a cameraphone fan, the Nokia 5220 XpressMusic is a no-go area," Ms Vogel adds. "But for music-lovers there are several plus points, not least being good quality music output and a well placed 3.5mm jack."

Unveiled in April last year, Nokia suggested the 5220 would be the perfect companion for its MD-8 Mini Speakers - as this would offer music on the move that can be shared with others.
