N-Gage gamers offered iPhone favourite

A new game has been launched on the Nokia N-Gage gaming platform that has had success on Apple mobile phones in the past.

In a review for Pocket Gamer, Spanner Spencer looks at Spore Origins and suggests that although not up to the standard of the original - it does give a whole world of new players the chance to get involved.

The title challenges users to get to grips with a central character that could be described as a micro-organism - and lead it on a journey through evolution.

"Being as nature is such a harsh mistress, the only way to do that is to eat and absorb new DNA, so your primary task is to swim around gobbling up smaller life forms than yourself," the article explains.

The reviewer concludes by saying fans of the original may find this latest incarnation to be somewhat lacking, but says Nokia N-Gage users now have a whole new universe to play with.
