New LG GW520 and LG GT505 'give consumers more'

Two new phones from mobile manufacturer LG promise to give consumers more than their traditional counterparts can.

The LG GW520 and LG GT505 are said to be easier to use and "smarter" than their predecessors, while offering innovative features such as multiple push social networking site updates.

Described as a handset "made for messaging", the LG GW520 enables users to access all of their favourite social networks on the go.

Gadgets built into the LG GW520 include a full slide-out Qwerty keyboard, a 2.8-inch screen and a three-megapixel camera.

The GT505 provides a navigation system for users, as well as a three-inch screen, Wi-Fi, voice instruction and a camera with five megapixels of power.

"Consumers are now demanding more than just SMS and [instant messaging] services," remarked LG Mobile UK's head of marketing Jeremy Newing. "They want the kind of messaging and social networking features previously the preserve of high-end handsets on a wide range of models and that is what LG is offering."

Other mobile phones currently on the market from LG include the LG KM900 Arena and the LG KF750 Secret.
