Sony Ericsson W205 'affordable music on the go'

The Sony Ericsson W205 has been branded an affordable option for music lovers in the market for a new device.

According to the manufacturer, it has built a reputation with its Walkman series of handsets that those searching for a multimedia model know they can trust - and this particular phone is no exception.

However, the W205 could also appeal to those on a tight budget as it is an entry level device that the firm believes many people will be able to pick up cheaply.

"The W205 is … an affordable mobile phone that is accessible to everyone, offering the quality expected from the Walkman brand," Sony Ericsson explained.

In addition to the Walkman name, which was established in the late 1970s and early 1980s with the launch of Sony's cassette-based personal stereos, the phone carries an FM radio, TrackID music recognition and Bluetooth support.
