New music tariff launched by Orange

OrangeOrange has announced a new partnership with 4Music and Universal to bring more audio facilities to its pay-as-you-go services.

The deal brings a service called Monkey to consumers that promises the ability to not only listen to their favourite tracks, but also create content and share their playlists with others.

In addition, "hundreds of thousands" of songs will be made available, as well as access to the latest music news and exclusive content via an online community platform.

The Monkey pay-as-you-go tariff is aimed at 16 to 24-year-olds and also includes access to Orange's two-for-one cinema tickets on Wednesdays and £1 towards a new handset every time a £10 top up is applied.

Tom Alexander, chief executive of the network in the UK, said the service was not restricted to high-end phones or download fees.

"Monkey is for everyone," he explained. "All you need to do is top up to get free music on any handset or online."

Orange recently unveiled the Toshiba TG01 as part of its new line up of gadgets.

Would this tariff tempt you to trade up?
