Motorola messaging phone "very usable"

MotorolaA new handset has been launched by Motorola that one expert believes could be of interest to those who favour messaging over voice calls.

In an article for Mobile Burn this week, Brian James Kirk looked at the manufacturer's new i465 Clutch device and drew particular attention to its various text-based features.

He explained the Motorola device has a full qwerty keyboard that packs the buttons close enough together to keep the whole phone compact - but not at the expense of the user experience.

"The buttons are cut at sharp angles which make them very usable," Mr Kirk added, noting they also "feel sturdy and respond well to quick typing" and "light up when pressed".

He concluded the Motorola i465 Clutch was not going to win any awards for style, but was small and durable enough to be worth consideration.

Sascha Segan of PC Mag recently reviewed the same device and admitted to being "impressed" with how it was designed.
