Posted: 4 February 2009
Skype has redesigned its package to be more user-friendly, it has been announced.
This week, the network unveiled details of its latest product for use with Microsoft Windows and said the revised software would make video calling simpler and "better than ever".
It is claimed the firm has taken into consideration its experience of the market from the last five years and combined this with customer feedback in creating Skype 4.0.
One-click video calling, improved sound quality, simplified call management and a continuation of its low pricing structures are just some of the things users can now expect from the service.
"There are lots of improvements to the interface and usability, as well as new built-in support to get people started and proactively offer help when it is needed," the company added.
Skype services are also available on a range of handsets from 3 Mobile.
