Samsung unveils Tocco Ultra Edition

Samsung has unveiled a new version of one of its popular touchscreen handsets, which will be launched in the UK this March.

The South Korean manufacturer has announced its latest flagship device will be the Tocco Ultra Edition - an upgrade of the original phone which hit the market in 2008.

In addition to a full touchscreen interface and sliding mechanism, the new model has a 3 x 4 button keypad and an eight-megapixel camera with dual LED flash and Smile Shot technology.

Mark Mitchinson, vice-president of Samsung Mobile UK and Ireland, said the Tocco Ultra Edition was a "stunning" entry into the firm's line and builds on the successes of the original.

"We're looking forward to the Tocco Ultra Edition driving our business forward and showcasing our leading credentials for style and innovation," he added.

The phone will join the Samsung Pixon as another of the firm's eight-megapixel cameraphones.
