O2 launches online safety guide for kids

O2O2 has launched a new guide which could interest mobile broadband customers worried about their child's web use.

The network, which provides its own range of wireless internet solutions in addition to mobile phones, has published an online book to be issued to schools up and down the country.

Who wnts 2 no? is written by Steve Barlow and Steve Skidmore - the two men behind popular children's books such as the Lost Diaries and Vernon Bright series - and supports this week's European Safer Internet Day.

Targeted at eight to 12-year-olds, the title can be ordered free by schools and libraries from today ahead of its March 5th publishing date.

Mike Short, vice-president at O2, said: "This book supports our other mobile internet initiatives to help illustrate to parents and children the benefits of online technology and mobile access to the web whilst staying safe."

O2 recently announced the launch of a new mobile device aimed at helping children learn.
