Motorola has underlined its commitment to the latest developments for mobile phones with the launch of a new testing facility.
The manufacturer, which has a number of models available including those in its RAZR and ROKR range, unveiled plans to boost its high-speed data projects at its laboratory in Swindon.
It is hoped with an increased focus on innovations such as 2.6GHz spectrum and a prototype LTE calling, Motorola will be able to offer the latest services in mobile broadband and 4G devices.
Joe Cozzolino, senior vice president and general manager of the firm's home and networks mobility division for the EMEA and Asia Pacific region, said Motorola was on track in its plans for future mobile development.
He added such technologies would "address the mobility demands of today's consumers who are looking for personalised media experiences and operators looking to lower their cost per bit and gain a competitive advantage".
