BlackBerry Storm 9500 SurePress Screen picks up breakthrough gong

The BlackBerry Storm 9500 Surepress Screen has received the honour of Best Mobile Technology Breakthrough at the GSMA 14th Annual Global Mobile Awards.
Held in Barcelona, the ceremony was hosted by comedian Michael McIntyre and included a guest appearance from Black Eyed Peas member will.i.am.
Other winners of honours included BBC's iPlayer on Mobile service, for best device music or video service, along with Gameloft's Real Football 2009 for best game.
Nokia's Sports Tracker application came first in the best cellular internet service category.
Chief executive officer and member of the GSMA board Rob Conway noted more than 450 companies submitted entries for the awards.
He added: "Our congratulations to the winners and all those who participated."
The BlackBerry Storm includes wireless email capabilities, a 3.2-megapixel camera, a video recording function and built-in GPS.
With standby battery life of up to 15 days, the device has a 1GB hard drive and 128MB of flash memory.
