LG gets "Smart" with the latest Viewty

LGNews has emerged regarding the upgrade to the LG Viewty, according to Mobile Burn.

The site reports that a post on the German version of the South Korean handset maker's blog confirmed the phone - which goes by the product code GC900 - is very much in the pipeline.

It was revealed that the company plans to call the phone the LG Viewty Smart - despite previous speculation suggesting it would be simply titled the Viewty II.

"Although the information has been pulled from the site, we can say with some certainly that the information originally posted on the site appears to be valid," the site explains.

The piece adds the follow up to the 2007 Viewty will weigh around 3.2 ounces and will operate using LG's 3D S-Class user interface.

In addition, it will be fitted with a three-inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi connectivity, geotagging facilities and an eight-megapixel camera.
