'Be spontaneous' with the new Sony Ericsson S312

A new mobile phone from Sony Ericsson allows users to be spontaneous and capture classic moments with instant video recording, the manufacturer says.

The S312 comes equipped with a two-megapixel camera, up to 2.5x digital zoom and a dedicated video camera key for quick and easy access.

It also has a Photo Fix function for enhancing image quality, as well as Picture Blogging so users are only a few clicks away from uploading their favourite shots to the internet.

A media player, Bluetooth and email capabilities are all built into the handset, in addition to the standard phone necessities such as SMS and predictive text input.

Moreover, an alarm, calendar and 1,000-contact phone book enables people to stay up to date, said Sony Ericsson's marketing business manager Quentin Cordier.

"The S312 also allows you to get organised and keep track of your hectic lifestyle by ensuring that you never miss another birthday or appointment again," he explained.

Today's launch follows a previous unveiling last month by the mobile phone company - March saw it announce the introduction of the Outdoor Wireless Speaker MS500.
