Arcade classic to debut on G1
Posted: 30 September 2008
An arcade classic will become one of the first gaming applications to be available on the upcoming HTC G1.
Owners of the handset, which is built in conjunction with T Mobile and is the first to feature Google's Android platform, will be offered a free version of PAC-MAN - a game which has been around for over 28 years.
PAC-MAN will be released by Namco Networks, a publisher which currently offers a number of other titles for mobile phones including Atlantis Sky Patrol, Tamagotchi Monster, Paper Planes and Brain Coach with Dr. Kawashima.
Scott Rubin, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Namco Networks, said the company was looking forward to making its debut on the new next-generation G1 handset.
"We want consumers to see how great PAC-MAN looks on this device and how well it plays on the Android platform," he said.
PAC-MAN was first launched in Japan in May 1980.
