A number of mobile phones emerged victorious from a recent awards ceremony, according to Mobile Today.
The site reports that this year's Mobile Choice Awards were particularly kind to South Korean manufacturer Samsung, which picked up three titles on the evening.
As well as taking the Best Manufacturer award, the Samsung i8510 was named best in the Best Camera Phone category and its F400 was revealed as the most impressive music-focused phone.
However, the site notes that the "star of the night" was the Nokia E71, which took the Phone of the Year title in addition to winning the Best Smartphone award.
"O2 won the award for the Operator of the Year, while Virgin Mobile won the Best Customer Service Award for the eighth year running," the article added.
Last month, ZDNet reported that Nokia's E71 smartphone was "a tough device to beat" and drew attention to its features and high performance operating system.
