Gaming milestone for iPhone games

Apple iPhone 3G S 16GB BlackApple iPhone 3G and iPod Touch users have allowed one company to record its one-millionth download.

Since its launch on the App Store in July, Pangea Software claims to have reached the milestone figure with its range of games for mobile phones that run on the iPhone platform.

Titles such as the Enigmo puzzle game, which was awarded the title of Best iPhone Game at the 2008 Apple World Wide Developer Conference, have proved popular with gamers.

Pangea's president and chief executive Brian Greenstone said the achievement was particularly impressive when considering the wide range of products available from the App Store.

"The App Store is off to a solid start with thousands of successful game apps launched since July," he said. "With so much competition, I’m honoured that consumers have chosen to make our titles the top sellers."

Other popular titles available for the Apple iPhone 3G include Crash Bandicoot Nitro 3D – which features on the mobile phone's latest TV advertisement.
