T Mobile offers fourth Vario

A new smartphone is set to be launched by T Mobile that the Trusted Reviews website believes could challenge the BlackBerry Bold.

The website urges Blackberry's creators, Research In Motion, to "hurry up with the Bold" as the T Mobile Vario IV could be too big a temptation for buyers shopping in that particular market.

It states that the fourth Vario model has been one of the site's favourites over the years and as such it is eagerly anticipating its latest incarnation.

"The Vario IV will hit virtually every power smartphone user for six with its full sliding Qwerty keypad with redesigned buttons," it states.

Also featured in the Vario IV will be a VGA touchscreen, 7.2Mbit HSDPA, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity as well as a 3.2-megapixel camera and the Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system.

Last year, the site noted that the Vario III was "the perfect mobile device" adding that it is "a phone, a diary, a web browser, an email device and a satnav all rolled into one".
