Rocking out with mobile phones

One of the most popular gaming franchises around has made its way to mobile phones and a new review has put it to the test.

Speaking from the BREW Conference in San Diego, Stuart Dredge of PocketGamer.co.uk reports that the third entry in the Guitar Hero franchise has been given the hand-held treatment and will be available later this year.

Although he states that the company behind the US version of the game "has been tight-lipped" on how much he UK will resemble the version seen at the event, early reports suggest the game "works really well".

"The sound is top-notch, too – almost MP3-quality, rather than polyphonic," he states, adding that overall Guitar Hero III is shaping up to be a "marvellous, marvellous game".

The BREW 2008 Conference, takes place between May 28th and 30th at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, California.

According to the event's official site, visitors will get the opportunity to "learn about all the latest in wireless data services, examine new markets, discover the next trends and identify new business opportunities".
