New mobile phones that target older users

A new range of mobile phones take into consideration the needs of older users in their design, according to reports.
It has emerged that new, easy-to-use mobile phones have been developed by telecommunications group AT&T in association with Pantech - who manufactured the device.
It is hoped that the handsets will be of interest to style-conscious mature consumers and will "consider the needs of seniors or customers who have disabilities".
Patrick Beattie, vice president of marketing and sales at Pantech, said that the intention was to address an area currently not catered for by the mobile phones industry.
"By incorporating AT&T's socially responsible universal design model, this product speaks directly to people needing a down-to-earth handset that provides easy access to core features," he said.
AT&T is currently the provider of network services for the iPhone in the US, although it has not been confirmed that it will retain the contract on release of the 3G model.
